O artista

 

Chamo-me Miguel Corte-Real, tenho 26 anos e vivo em Peniche, mais propriamente no Baleal.

 

Comecei a pintar nos meus tempos livres, primeiro apenas uns rabiscos no papel com caneta bic, passando mais tarde para madeiras com canetas UNI POSCA, ao usar estas canetas as cores vivas despertaram a curiosidade que vim a sentir por outros materiais. Depois de pranchas de surf, skate, bicicletas, caixas de madeira, telas e paredes! depois de usar pincéis, marcadores, lápis, grafite, acrílicos comecei a pintar com aguarela e de volta ao papel.

 

Esta aprendizagem foi conciliada com a paixão do surf, á medida que ia sentindo novas maneiras de ver e percorrer a onda, também as minhas linhas ao desenhar ganharam outra energia. A beleza da terra " Peniche " esteve sempre presente neste progresso, todos os dias um novo amanhecer com ondas, sol, vento, chuva etc, tudo elementos que se fazem sentir e que estão á espera para serem apreciados todos os dias, são motivos de inspiração!

 

Crowdless represents the utopia of the surfer... every time we get in the car or airplane to go get some good surf, we dream about finding ourselves alone in the middle of the lineup, perfect barrels, clear water, and crowdless waves just for us!! Wakeup… probably that won’t happen but you can always get your dream wave home with you!

I’m a surfer, I live in Peniche all year to be in touch with the Ocean, every time I get good waves I paint. So, surfing and painting are linked together in this project. Surfing almost everyday teached me how to carve better lines on the wave and how to paint the wave in new ways!

 

 

The beauty of Peniche was always present while I was painting, everyday a new sunrise, waves, wind, rain, sunset etc, all these elements inspired and gave energy to Crowdless paintings.

These paintings are made in the spot, using watercolors keep them clear and unique, available in A4, A3*, A2* and A1* sizes, different frames available, although the default is light and resistant enough for you to take it back home.
